All Day Embroidery

Would you like help with your embroidery techniques from an experienced instructor?  Join Persis to learn more about some basic techniques of hooping and using an appropriate stabilizer.  Explore new techniques such as free-standing lace (FSL), appliqué, projects in-the-hoop (ITH), or embroidery on garments, towels or even cards. 

Bring a project of your choice and enjoy the day with other embroiderers.  We can discuss embroidery techniques you would like to explore and get help with where to find some quality designs.  If you need assistance downloading a design, also bring your computer.  For full instructions on downloading and saving embroidery designs, sign up for our Computer Know-How class, where other sources of designs and embroidery software will also be discussed.

Class Prep/Materials required: Embroidery design project with instructions and thread chart, stabilizers, threads, embroidery scissors like snips and appliqué, embroidery machine in good working order, embroidery needles and hoops.  You might pre-wind some bobbins to be ready to start with your project.

Policies

In an effort to assure that each student gets the attention of our teachers, we pay close attention to the size of each lesson and class that we put on our schedule. Because of this, our class sizes are typically small. We recommend that you reserve your space as soon as you can. You can sign up for classes online, in store, or over the phone.

It is very important that you read the details of each class description. Within the class description, you will see the items that you will need for the project as well as the skill level for that class. Some classes, you will need to have certain things prepared for the class, so it is very important to carefully read the description.

Class Cancellations: 
If you are unable to attend a class, lesson, or event that you have signed up for we ask for a 24-hour notice. This will allow time for the instructor to modify the classroom as needed. Please understand that we do not issue refunds for missed classes, lessons or events.

Registration Policy:
Payment must be made in advance to hold your place and insure the enrollment. All classes will be held in our classroom, located in the store.

Weather-Related Class and Lesson Cancellations: 
We value the importance of our customers safety and will close the store during inclement weather if necessary. We follow the Salem School District for weather-related closures. We DO NOT follow the school for delayed openings. If you are scheduled for a class or a lesson on a day that the weather is questionable, you can either go by the listing of the Salem School district or check our Facebook page, and whenever possible, we will call and/or email all customers who are scheduled for a class or lesson on a day that we close the shop. If we do close the shop due to the weather, we will credit your account for that class and try to get you rescheduled as soon as possible.
