Kid's Quilting Class

Join our seasoned Kid's teacher, Paula to learn how to make your fist quilt. 

This class is great for Kid's who have been taking kids classes with us at Angels or who have had some sewing experience on their own. 

Please make sure to read all of the class requirements for each day of the class and come to class prepared. We are happy to help you with any questions you might have about the required materials. Your child must have a sewing machine (not a toy machine) in good working order and must know now to thread their machine. 

Class 1 (Creating Blocks) Requirements:

1/4 yard each of 6 Main Fabrics (Lightest to darkest: A, B, C, D, E, F)
Neutral colored thread for Piecing the blocks together
Quilting Pins or Wonder Clips

Rotary Cutter
6-1/2” x 24” Ruler
18” x 24” Cutting Mat

1/4” foot with guide

Microtex Needle

Fully functional sewing machine, not a toy machine.

Class 2 (Quilt Piecing) requirements:

3/4 yard of your Border fabric

At least 30 completed 6-1/2" x 6-1/2"  quilt blocks as created in Class 1

Quilting Pins or Wonder Clips

Rotary Cutter
6-1/2” x 24” Ruler

12-1/2" x 12-1/2" Squaring Ruler
18” x 24” Cutting Mat

1/4” foot with guide

Class 3 (Quilting Process) requirements:

1-1/2 yards of your Backing fabric

Quilt Top created in Class 2
1 package Crib Size Warm & Natural batting (Or the size 4" larger than your quilt top)
Coordinated thread for Quilting
Either a Walking Foot, Even Feed Foot, or Stitch in the Ditch foot
Quilting Pins

Rotary Cutter
6-1/2” x 24” Ruler

12-1/2" x 12-1/2" Squaring Ruler

Class 4 (Squaring up and Binding) requirements:

1/2 yard of your binding fabric
