Alice Johnson Hannon

Alice Johnson Hannon has been teaching since 2019 at Angels Sewing and Quilting in Salem, NH.  She teaches many basic sewing, quilting, serger and embroidery technique lessons, reviewing use and care of various machines, including Babylock, Brother, Juki and Janome.  Alice holds certifications in several areas of interest: Palmer/Pletsch Tissue Fitting for garment patterns, Babylock Serger Expert and IQ Designer Expert training, and is a licensed Martha Pullen teacher in Timeless Sewing Techniques. Some of her favorite classes are free-standing lace and in-the-hoop projects in machine embroidery, which can be explored in her All-Day Embroidery Classes, garment sewing, including personalized pattern fitting as a Palmer/Pletsch certified sewing instructor, and Serger Club classes focusing on various techniques, threads and accessories. She also teaches computer skills and Floriani Total Control software classes for embroidery. Alice’s Open Sew classes are available to those who want to sew with friends and have help with their sewing, quilting, serger or embroidery projects, and she is also available for private lessons.  Her upcoming classes will include heirloom sewing techniques, projects on a sewing machine and serger, and garment classes for tops, pants, dresses, cardigans and skirts.  All garment classes include fitting with the Palmer/Pletsch method.  You can fit a pattern of your choice in Alice’s Open Fit class.  In addition, Alice also creates dance costumes, including professional ballet tutus, and does hemming for clients.
